Creative Writing Department Chair: Michael Kleber-Diggs

WELCOME MICHAEL KLEBER-DIGGS, our new Creative Writing Department Chair!
In addition to his role as department chair, Michael will teach classes in poetry and creative non-fiction.
SPCPA’s new Creative Writing program will also offer classes in playwriting, fiction and screenwriting.
Michael is a poet, essayist and literary critic whose work has been published in publications across the country. June this year will see the release of his debut poetry collection, WORLDLY THINGS, which won the Max Ritvo Poetry Prize.
Michael has been a Fellow with the Givens foundation for African American Literature and a Poet Laureate of Anoka County Libraries. He currently sits on the Board of Directors at The Loft Literary Center. He’s also the parent of a former SPCPA student!
