Thank you for your interest in the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists.  We strongly recommend that you follow these steps as you pursue enrollment at SPCPA:

1) Attend a general information meeting.  This is considered the "first step" in the enrollment process.  Please see the website calendar for dates of upcoming meetings.  All informational meetings begin at 6:00 PM and are held in the 5th floor commons area of the Landmark Center.  Both parents and students are encouraged to attend.  Please RSVP to Lisa Roberts at 651-290-2225 Ext. 11 if you intend to come to one of those meetings.

2) Set up a date to come and shadow.  Our shadowing program allows students to spend the day with a current student in the grade level they are applying for and who also participates in the same arts area that they are interested in.  This is a great way for prospective students to get a feel for the culture and climate of our school and really determine if this is going to be a good fit for them.  Please contact Lisa Roberts at 651-290-2225 Ext. 11 or by email at robertsl@spcpa.org to set up a shadowing date.  A parent or guardian is required to set up the appointment with Ms. Roberts and appointments must be made at least 2 business days prior to the intended shadowing date.  Only four shadows are allowed per day so please plan ahead.  Spaces fill up quickly. **PLEASE NOTE:  The shadowing program has concluded for the current school year and will resume in October 2010.**

3)  Complete an application.  You can pick up an application if you come to an informational meeting, download it from our website (see link below) or have one mailed to you.  Applications for the 2010-11 school year are due by February 1, 2010.  There are 125 spaces available in our 9th grade class and we anticipate openings in the 10th grade class.  Spaces available for grades 11-12 are determined by the number of current students who will be returning next year.  If we have more applications than space available, a lottery is performed to determine which applicants will fill the open spots.  Anyone not accepted at that time will be put in our waiting pool, by grade level, and a lottery is performed as spots open up.  Enrollment is not on a "first come, first served" basis. 

Applications submitted after the registration deadline will be placed in the waiting pool and the lottery process applies.  SPCPA does continue to accept students from the waiting pool during the school year as spots become available.

PLEASE NOTE:  We will begin accepting applications for the 2011-12 school year beginning September 1, 2010.  Please do not submit an application before that date.
